These burnt-umber Saga Seeds are miniature vessels for life. I have found different versions of this seed on the forest floor in Nicaragua and on temple grounds in Bali. They form in the spiraled pods from the giant sandalwood tree. The pods turn brown, coil up and split open as they ripen. revealing these small bright red seeds. They are extremely strong and waterproof.
Here, these rich red seeds are ringed with granulated silver lace and swing freely in these playfully bright, and a-little-bit-regal earrings. The mid-length ear wire has a closure clasp that makes this design comfortable and secure.
